Jonny has a fascination with shapes, facial expressions and hand drawn freeform lettering. His fascination and interest has allowed him to create an unique style which he applies to many context. Jonny Wan is an illustrator from Manchester, United Kingdom. He graduated from the Manchester school of Art in 2008 with a degree in Design & Art Direction specializing in illustration and now has been working freelance ever since in Sheffield. Inspiration

My inspiration mostly from shapes, facial expressions and the colour of the weather! although the best inspiration is whats in your own mind, its good to just sit there in front of a blank page and just start doodling, i often find that something interesting just appears!

Jonny’s design process

i usually sketch my ideas down on paper then move it into illustrator to vectorize, sort out the composition and colour. I then usually take it into photoshop to tweak the brightness, contrast and color for the final time.
